As a teacher and a marketing / sales professional, I've spent a lifetime in communication fields, and the past 10 years as a working writer. I've produced dozens of case studies, news releases and marketing pieces for print and web as well as journalistic features for trade magazines. My work can easily be found on the Internet and in several leading trade publications.
A Writer Who Translates
I'm also a natural linguist. While my friends in high school were struggling to pass introductory Spanish, I joined the language nerds for all four years, including Spanish literature; studying both historical and contemporary works. In college and graduate school I completed a concentration in Biblical languages, translating Koine Greek and Classical Hebrew from ancient texts.
Shortly after college I moved to Brazil to teach high school, in English. With less than six months in country and no formal Portuguese training I also began teaching nights in a Brazilian Bible Institute. I've been a fluent Portuguese speaker for more than 25 years.
The Best Translations Don't Look Translated
Because American English is the language of choice for international business, there is no shortage of non-native speakers and writers. But if you hire your brother-in-law who took a couple of English classes at the university, your copy may look like, well…his university English project. Hire a professional writer who is a native speaker to reach your audience with maximum credibility.
Getting Started
It's easy to work with Treeside Communications. During an initial meeting and usually at no cost, I'll discuss the details of your project. As a follow-up, a written quotation of project scope and financial investment is provided. When a client is ready to begin, we sign a letter of cooperation. Then the agreed upon work is completed and delivered.
For projects exceeding $1000.00 in total cost, 30% is due at start-up. All projects must be paid in full at completion.
Connected to the world from Central Florida, my daily activities are performed virtually via phone, e-mail, fax and video conference. I still know the way to the airport when a project requires, but I prefer the highway when possible for a leisurely trip...and less political incompetence.
I look forward to earning your business.
